Suspected thief’s ‘hideaway’ set alight
A man, accused of stealing, was assaulted and his 'hideway' set alight by several angry residents near the bus terminals this morning (Friday).
POLOKWANE – When Review arrived on the scene Westenburg police were already on the scene to calm the situation, however, they were unable to placate the mob who set his ‘hideaway’, a small room, alight.
According to eye witnesses the room was used by the man to hide the suspected stolen goods.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and contained the fire.
