Goseame doors still open despite strike
Employees at Goseame Wholesalers on Silicon street in Ladine, Polokwane downed tools this morning (Wednesday) over an alleged refusal by management to increase their salaries.
POLOKWANE – Mampi Malakalaka is the industrial relations officer at Goseame said the company has tried to reach common ground with the employees but to no avail.
“We respect their democratic right to strike and don’t have a problem with what they are doing,” Malakalaka said.
Malakalaka continued by saying that the business doors are still open despite the strike. “The customers are still coming in and we are operating as normal. We are even making deliveries.”
