Mapela awarded their best learners for 2016
The awards were held on 27 January at the Park Hotel.
The Mapela Circuit Education Awards were held on 27 January at the Park Hotel and Gr 12 learners, teachers and schools in the circuit were awarded for their performance throughout the 2016 and matric exams.
The following results were announced:
The top six Gr 12 learners in the Mapela circuit:
• Gereld Sethosa from Seritarita High School with an average of 78,3%
• Thabiso Maakalla from Mmatedu High School with an average of 73,4%
• Marcus Sekoakoa from Matanta High School with an average of 73,4%
• Thabang Lesetja Lebelo from Mphunye High School with an average of 73,1%
• Joew Prisca Malebane from Mmantutule High School with an average of 72,4%
• Oarabile Seeta Mokoka from Mmatedu High School with an aveage of 70,6%
The top schools in the Mapela Circuit:
• Phaladinge Technnical High School with 85,7% pass rate
• Mphunye High School with 82,8% pass rate
• Matanta High School with 81,4% pass rate
