Argument results in fatal shooting
A man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a shooting incident where his girlfriend's brother was killed.
POLOKWANE – According to Mokopane Police Spokesperson, Sgt Mmadikgale Masingi, the suspect went to his girlfriend’s house in the RDP area outside Mokopane.
The girlfriend has a restraining order against him restricting him from entering the house.
An argument broke out between the two outside the house and the suspect pulled out a firearm and a shot went off.
The girlfriend’s mother and brother came out to investigate when another shot was fired that wounded her brother. He was rushed to hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect fled the scene and police later found him in Phomolong, a residential area in Mookgophong.
He appeared in the Mokopane’s Magistrate Court on charges of murder. The trial has been postponed until next week Thursday.
