Game Court at Mall of the North was turned into a birthday party par none when the mall celebrated their sixth anniversary on Tuesday.
With upbeat music booming, mall personnel handed out 1 000 cupcakes to shoppers and six lucky shoppers won Mall of the North vouchers by answering questions about the mall.
Mari Delport, Marketing Manager, and Tabitha Lekganyane, Public Relations and Promotions Manager, also handed out balloons and the Kids’ Club helpers painted adorable Easter Bunnies on children’s faces.
General Manager of Mall of the North, Sumari de Ridder, says the centre is thankful to the community for their wonderful support over the last six years. “We’re looking forward to many more great years with the people of Polokwane and for the opportunity to grow from strength to strength with our incredible community,” she says.
Since opening, Mall of the North has become a firm favourite with shoppers owing to its exciting tenant mix of top local and international retailers, with H&M just the latest major brand to open its doors on Saturday. See story elsewhere.
In addition to great shopping, Mall of the North is also home to a number of well-established events like the Mall of the North Marathon – a Comrades qualifier – and the Makhulu 5 Mountain Bike race, to name just a few. “Birthdays are all about celebrating and we’re immensely proud to be part of the day-to-day lives of our community and will continue to work hard to give our shoppers what they love most,” says de Ridder.
