Sunél Honiball is the true embodiment of dynamite that comes in small packages. This petite, yet extremely dynamic woman was recently appointed as new Centre Manager at Savannah Mall and has already begun to stamp her refreshing mark on the mall.
As experienced business owner with a practical understanding of property development, Honiball says her background gives her an understanding of tenants’ needs as well as the importance of developing the mall.
Honiball is mother to three. Marsha is 21 and in her final year as Financial Management student at the University of Pretoria, while the 19-year-old Miral is studying fashion design at the Lisof Fashion Design School. Her youngest is John-William who is 15.
Living in Mokopane means a commute to and from work every day, but Honiball says she enjoys the drive. “That time on the road gives me time to plan my day in the mornings and leave my work problems behind in the evenings,” she explains.
The spitfire says she is excited about the opportunities that await at Savannah. “We are creating a safe, comfortable and convenient shopping experience and every member of my team is highly skilled at what they do. There are many developments at the mall that we are very enthusiastic about. This includes the new Checkers that opened recently, Pick n Pay that is being revamped and the shop fitters for Rochester Furniture that will start work on this brand new store in June,” she says and thanks the community of Polokwane for their support and patience during this time of transitioning.
Honiball invites the public to come to her with problems and complaints. “Every person on my management team has an open door policy and we are always eager to assist. I am currently working with a member of the community to address problems with disabled parking that she had spotted.”
Safety is of paramount importance to everyone at Savannah Mall and Honiball says she has two fully qualified security experts on her team. “We have well trained security guards to ensure shoppers safety and have not had any incidents of crime reported to us this year.
“I want to create a mall where the community will feel at home, where people will be comfortable to shop and where every shopper can enjoy a safe, clean, efficient environment.”
