Mitchell House and MGM Motors joined forces to collect items and have it delivered to Knysna thereby actively demonstrating that they are part of the caring community of the city.
Learners were allowed to wear casual clothes last Tuesday on condition that they make a donation of R10. Non-perishable items were purchased and augmented with items that included tinned foods, baby food and clothing that were contributed by the Mitchell House Parent Community.
“The Mitchell House community has always risen to the occasion when a compassionate response was called for. I would like to thank our parents and pupils for their response to people in need as a result of natural disaster, one of many initiatives that we are involved in as a school. We wish those affected God’s comfort and a speedy recovery,” Mitchell House Headmaster, Andrew Cook said.
