[IN PICTURES] Limpopo Knights Braai Competition – round 6

Monday evening saw the teams, things got beefy as teams faced off in the sixth round of the Limpopo Braai Knights competition.

POLOKWANE – The teams from Round Table Impala 157, Round Table Pietersburg 22, Rotary Club 100 and Lunds Boerdery faced off around the fires to impress the judges, Dirk Liebenberg, Christo Hildebrand and Marjorie Knoetze.

Friends and family of the contestants could enjoy a warm cup of soup and fresh bread sponsored by The Polokwane Golf Club while indulging in a warm beverage bought from The Grind.

The entertainment was provided by Martiens Joubert of the Juba Broers.

André du Plessis and Zirk Coetzee from Lunds Boerdery thoroughly impressed the judges with their ribeye with beetroot, avocado and potbrood rounded off with a delectable ice cream and a surprise horn dessert.

The winners with the judges: Dirk Liebenberg (judge and organiser), André du Plessis (winner), Marjorie Knoetze (judge), Zirk Coetzee (winner), Martiens Joubert (guest) and Christo Hildebrand (judge).

The two doctors, Flip van As and Niel Bosman from Round Table Pietersburg 22, served rib prepared in two ways, sweet potato chips and potbrood with peach flambe. Rotary Club 100’s team, Jaco Nortjé and Johan Joubert, served fillet in bacon filled with avocado and almonds with a berry sauce and onion and cheese potbread. Their dessert was mud chocolate cakes with mint and cream.

Pierre Bloem and Lourens Heinlein from Round Table 157 served mouthwatering rump with a creamy mushroom sauce, fried sweet potatoes, cheese smoked cabbage and salty beer bread with ginger dumplings and cream as dessert.
