The SANBS-Polokwane team managed to harvest 36 units of blood, passing the set target with ten units, with the help of shoppers at the Mall of the North during a blood drive held recently.
According to SANBS-Polokwane Clinic Supervisor Bookie Dube Saturday morning was busy but the drizzled down to slow from 11:00 until it picked up at 13:00.
Donor Salomie Pretorius, said that she saw donating blood as a sport because she and her son have a unofficial competition between them as to who donates the most blood. On Saturday she donated for the eighth time.
