Capricorn High School’s Grade 12s drew gasps of admiration from the crowd when they walked down the red carpet during their farewell function held at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World last Wednesday.
The fabulously dressed learners arrived at the venue in modern cars while some were escorted by motorbikes much to the excitement of those who love loud exhaust sounds. The night was guided by the theme ‘Class of 2017 Masquerade Ball’ but the school’s head boy Billy Chuene commented that learners did not strictly adhere to the theme because they wanted to impress.
With the Cappies’ matric farewell function held during Heritage Month, a number of female learners were spotted wearing colourful dresses designed with colours of their respective cultures. Parents could not hide their joy as learners made their way to the hall.
Camera lights were flashing all over the place as both learners and parents wanted to capture special moments.
Chuene emphasised that the night was all about elegance and high key. Kamogelo Ntsoane, the school head-girl said all the learners looked ravishing and they appreciate the support they got from parents and Grade 11 learners.
