Two arrested, R300 000 worth of CAT confiscated during drug bust

Two men will appear before the Mookgophong Magistrate's Court today

LIMPOPO – Two men will appear before the Mookgophong Magistrate’s Court after being arrested with drugs to the estimated value of R300 000.

The duo were arrested after Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Unit members received information about a vehicle that was allegedly en-route from Gauteng to Limpopo to deliver drugs.

“The Hawks reacted swiftly on the information and spotted the alleged vehicle in Mookgopong (Naboomspruit) where it was immediately stopped and searched.  During the search of the vehicle, CAT with an estimated street value of R300 000 were seized,” said Hawks Spokesperson, Capt Matimba Maluleke.

Both suspects, aged 41 and 48, will appear at the Mookgopong Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 23 November 2017 to face charges of illegal possession of drugs charges.
