Wéér droë krane, kragonderbreking die oorsaak

Om water te hê is ‘n voortdurende stryd in Mokopane en Vanoggend (Vrydag) het talle inwoners weer wakker geword net om te vind daar is nie water in hulle krane nie.

MOKOPANE – Besighede se personeel moes rondskarrel om drinkwater te bekom en boorgatwater is ondermeer aangery om toilette te kan spoel.

Korny Dekker, DA Raadslid, sê daar word tans aan die probleem gewerk.

“Daar was gisteraand ‘n kragonderbreking by Doorndraaidam wat veroorsaak het dat daar nie water in die reservoir gepomp kon word nie. Toe die werkers water wou pomp het hulle besef die kleppe was nooit oopgedraai nie. Die reservoir probeer tans vol loop maar kan nie, want sodra daar ‘n bietjie water in is, word dit weer gebruik,” verduidelik Dekker.

Dekker sê hy sal die gemeenskap ophoogte hou oor die situasie. Hy vra dat water spaarsamig gebruik moet word, veral met die naweek op hande.
