DA aid Gift of the Givers in #DayZero water collection

Water is life and with the city of Cape Town and parts of the Western Cape facing a severe drought, the DA saw it fit to raise awareness on the situation by launching a water collecting project.

POLOKWANE – Mariette Pretorius, DA councillor and organiser of the project explains:

“We still need the assistance of the community, however, to continue collecting water for the people in need,” she said.

Mariette added donations can be made in sealed five or 10 litre bottles and dropped off at the DA offices at 79 Hans van Rensburg Street.

There will also be a water collection day on Friday, 16 February at the Burger Street entrance to the Peter Mokaba Stadium after which the trucks with the water will depart for Cape Town.
