POLOKWANE – The city is divided in several sectors with relation to Community Policing Forum (CPF).

The police encourage people to join their local CPF and to become involved in the fight against crime. Here is a list of contact numbers.
CPF Sector 2: This area includes Bendor, Ster Park and surrounding areas.

Spokesperson for the CPF in the city, Johan Retters, told BONUS crime is at a low this time of the year, adding there have only been cases reported of valuables stolen out of vehicles parked at shopping centres in the city.
“We urge people to not leave their valuables in plain sight in their vehicles, rather put valuables in the boot or keep them with you. In line with that, we encourage people to report incidents of crime to the police for investigation. Join the CPF in your communities as soon as possible to help be the eyes and ears of police in the fight against crime,” he said.
Polokwane Station Commander, Brig Hlengane Gift Makhubele, told BONUS he plans to focus on getting the CPF more involved in crime prevention, strengthening the bond between the two entities.
“The city has a strong CPF network and we look forward to building a closer relationship with them to deal crime in the city a death blow,” Makhubele said.
