Biker injured after colliding with vehicle along Nelson Mandela Drive

A biker was injured after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle and then a street lamp along Nelson Mandela Drive this morning (Wednesday).

POLOKWANE – The vehicle and motorcycle were traveling in the same direction when the accident happened.

According to an eye witness at the scene, one of the parties involved allegedly illegally overtook the other resulting in the collision. The biker then lost control over his motorcycle and crashed into into the street lamp.

When Review arrived at the scene parts of the motorcycle could be seen at the crash site leading to where the biker landed, a few meters away.

A motorist who was not part of the accident, stopped to assist and called all emergency services. The man stayed with the injured biker until he received medical attention.

Police and other emergency services were all on the scene by the time Review left the accident scene.
