Werk en Woeker, a pre-school in Polokwane, held a hat day on Friday with some very innovative designs being worn by learners.
The winner in the babies’ category was Vitshila Mhlari and the one to two years’ category winner was Nathan Grobler whose hat had bunny ears attached. Trisha Leopeng won the two to three years’ category with her gift bag hat. In the three to four years’ category Liam Geswind won with his birds’ nest hat, and Emmanuel Nyoffu won the four to five years’ category with his cake hat, which he made himself.
School head Alet Pieterse said the children had a lot of fun trying on each other’s hats and admiring each other. She thanked the parents for wholeheartedly helping their children to make the hats and in so doing making the day such an enormous success.
