Patel case postponed, again
The case of Rameez Patel, appearing in the Polokwane High Court for the murder of his wife Fatima in Nirvana in April 2015, has again been postponed today (Wednesday.)
POLOKWANE – The case was initially postponed yesterday (Tuesday) to Wednesday due to the illness of the public Prosecutor, Mashudu Mudau, who was admitted to hospital on Tuesday.

Mudau hoped to be out by today, but has not yet been discharged.
Razeen Patel, the brother of Rameez, who is expected to take the witness stand against his brother, was reportedly spotted outside the court on Tuesday, waiting to be called to the witness stand. Razeen was said to have changed his initial testimony and will now testify against his brother regarding the murder of Fatima.
This was after Rameez, who is also appearing in court for the death of his mother, who was murdered at her house last year, wanted to pin the death of his mother on his brother. His brother fled the country, fearing for his safety.
In October last year, the court heard that Patel’s former lawyer, Tumi Mokoena wanted to pin the murder of Mahajeen Banu Patel, Patel’s mother, who was shot and killed a month prior by a hit man allegedly hired by Patel, on his brother, Razeen.
