Eight u.11 soccer, netball teams compete for prizes

PEPPS Preparatory School and College successfully hosted their annual u.11 soccer and netball tournament recently.
Visiting schools were Pietersburg English Medium Primary School (Pemps), Mokopane Primary School, Flora Park Primary School, Laerskool Ivy Park, Eagle’s Nest Christian School, Northern Academy and Pietersburg Comprehensive School (PCS).
The soccer tournament was won by Northern Academy followed by PEPPS and PCS in third place. In netball, the hosts used the home ground to their advantage and walloped their opponents to secure first place while Pemps was second and Eagle’s Nest settled for third spot.
The wining team in each code won a trophy and gold medals while the runners-up took home silver and bronze medals respectively. Tournament organiser, Kagiso Mokoena congratulated the winners and other participants who gave it their best. “All the teams played with dedication and determination on the field and the courts and have shown true sportsmanship,” Mokoena reportedly said.
