POLOKWANE – This reminder was issued by the Department of Education to all parents, guardians and caregivers.
The department urges those who have not returned their application forms as well as those who have yet to apply to do so, to do so immediately.
Documents that should accompany applications include the child’s birth certificate, immunisation card, transfer card and a report card if you’re a South African citizen.
If you are not a South African citizen, the returned application form must be accompanied by a study or work permit, temporary or permanent residence permit from Home Affairs and evidence that you have applied for permission to stay in South Africa.
This will enable schools to process all the applications with ease. With that in place, schools should be able to inform parents and guardians if their applications were successful or not by 30 June.
