Polokwane businessman who shot Razeen Patel, remanded in custody

The suspect handed himself over to police on Wednesday, 18 July.

POLOKWANE – The suspect, who is a businessman from Polokwane, appeared before the Mankweng Magistrates Court this morning, 19 July, after handing himself over to police.

Razeen, brother of murder accused Rameez Patel, was shot and was set to testify in the Polokwane High Court, on Monday, 16 July.

According to police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Patel was shot along the R71 road between Mankweng and Polokwane near Makgeng village.

He is one of the witnesses still to testify in the Rameez Patel case.

The suspect, whose name is known to Review but can only be published once he has pleaded, will next appear in Mankweng Magistrates Court on 26 July for a formal bail application.
