On Saturday, 1 September, during the Bark4Life event at Sekelbosfees the K9-Academy dogs and their owners showed spectators just how far a dog will go to save his owner's life.
POLOKWANE – A dog is man’s best friend, there for you when you are happy and there when you are sad. Some dogs will even risk their own lives for their owners.
On Saturday, 1 September, during the Bark4Life event at Sekelbosfees, the K9-Academy dogs and their owners showed spectators just how far a dog will go to save his owner’s life.
During the first routine a so called “hi-jacker” tried to hi-jack a bakkie and the dog exited the vehicle towards the perpertrator.
The second routine demonstrated obedience training where the dog attacks but leaves the intruder after getting a command from his owner.
In the third routine, the dog is provoked to show what the owners can do with the dog in any circumstance.
Dog lovers also had the opportunity to see an agility course routine performed by the K9-Academy.
In the end, each dog was treated with something nice to eat for giving the audience a spectacular show.
