A Limpopo pilot lost his life on Tuesday when his plane crashed on a farm near Tom Burke.
This incident followed a single day after a female pilot and a gardener died when a light aircraft crashed into a residential yard in Vorna Valley, on Monday.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that a case of culpable homicide was being investigated after the death of 54-year-old Koot Human Steyn from the farm Zwartwater in the Tom Burke area. Ngoepe said a light aircraft had crashed shortly after take-off, killing Steyn instantly.
It is alleged that Steyn took off for Gauteng at about 07:15. Within minutes after his departure something went wrong causing the plane to nose dive into the ground at Enkelfontein farm, according to Ngoepe.
The cause of the accident is also still under investigation.
