UL Geography lecturer suspended over sexual harassment allegations
The University of Limpopo says they view these allegations seriously as they compromise the image of the University and they hinder the smooth process of quality teaching and learning.

POLOWKANE – The University of Limpopo (UL) says they are aware of the serious allegations of sexual harassment against a Geography lecturer made by a group of female students. The lecturer has since been suspended with immediate effect.

In a statement released by UL, the university says they view these allegations seriously as they compromise the image of the university and they hinder the smooth process of quality teaching and learning.
“In our commitment to promote academic excellence, the lecturer has been placed on suspension pending the outcomes of investigations and all procedures and guidelines of the University Harassment Policy will be applied,” it read.
The university’s harassment policy strongly condemns any form of sexual harassment and any person who feels that she/he has been sexually harassed may lodge a complaint with the management of the university.
