Seven MBA students and five academics of the Turfloop Graduate School of Leadership (TGSL) recently visited the International Executive Development Centre (IEDC)-Bled School of Management in Slovenia to explore contemporary global business ideas.
TGSL acting Director Mankolo Lethoko explained that the aim of the trip was to strengthen relations between the two institutions where TGSL will benchmark on best practices for the MBA programme at the University of Limpopo. “The activities included an academic lecture and a visit to one of the top business establishments in Slovenia. “
Lethoko stressed that the academic excursion was essential for international collaborations that the school had already established with other countries such as Germany.
Danica Purg, President of IEDC-Bled School of Management, welcomed the delegates and outlined the history of Slovenia. She reportedly said the country held health and education value systems at heart. “IEDC is one of the most innovative management development institutions in Europe. I am confident that our partnership with UL will yield positive results as academics also contribute to nation building,” she was quoted to have said.
