POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Department of Health have confirmed that 27 people have been declared dead in a multi-vehicle accident on the N1 between Kranskop and Middlefontein in the Mookgopong area.
The accident occurred when the front right tire of a truck burst causing it to hit oncoming traffic.
The N1 is still closed and motorists travelling from Gauteng are advised to use the Kranskop off-ramp to Modimolle and those travelling from Polokwane should use the R101 off-ramp at Mookgophong.
