LIMPOPO – Police in Bela-Bela have opened an inquest docket after a 49-year-old farm worker died on scene after being kicked in the stomach by a Giraffe this morning, 29 December.
According to police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the incident happened at a local lodge on the outskirts of Bela Bela.
“The deceased was allegedly performing his daily task of feeding the animals when the Giraffe kicked him. According to information received, paramedics were summoned and on arrival, they tried to resuscitate him, but was later declared dead,” he explained.
