Limpopo welcomes 252 New Year’s bundles of joy
Of the babies born on New Year's Day, 129 were boys and 123 girls.
Limpopo welcomed 252 New Year’s babies into the world on Tuesday, 1 January, confirmed the Limpopo Health Department on Wednesday morning.
Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba paid a visit to Tshilidzini and Siloam Hospitals on New Year’s Day to congratulate the mothers of the new year’s babies who were born there.

The first two babies to be born in the province in 2019 were two boy who was delivered at Tshilidzini Hospital and Louis Trichardt Hospital, respectively. Both were born exactly at midnight.
