POLOKWANE – Motorists travelling from Modimolle to Polokwane, on the N1, are urged to off-ramp to Mookgopong via the R101 and join back on the Mookgopong on-Ramp.
This is due an accident involving a truck and Combi which is blocking the Northbound Lanes.
According to the spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, the accident happened near Tobias and the scene will take around two to three hours to clear.

According to unconfirmed reports, three people have died, one of them a minor. “Traffic officers are on scene and confirmation of fatalities will be made once authorities have cleared the scene,” he said.

Southbound lanes are still open for traffic from Polokwane to Gauteng.
