The accident occurred on the N1-25 near Tobias and involved a VW Kombi and an international truck.
According to the spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, the driver of the Kombi was speeding and lost control of the vehicle causing him to face oncoming traffic and collide head on with a truck.
The driver (52) and two passengers from the Kombi (15 and six-years-old) were killed.
