Muni: Reservoir levels slightly improved, residents still urged to conserve water

The municipality will continue to provide temporary relief to affected areas through water tankers.

POLOKWANE -Polokwane reservoir levels remain low due to the affects of load shedding, Municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selala says.

“The reservoirs levels were critically low yesterday but a slight improvement was recorded later in the night. The municipality however urges all stakeholders to conserve water as a measure to improve reservoir levels and to ensure that water will be available for all.”

Load shedding has resulted in high drop of reservoir levels which has affected not only the city, but also the surrounding areas, Selala adds.

The municipality will continue to provide temporary relief to affected areas through water tankers. “Residents are advised to use water responsibly to conserve water for the survival of all,” he concludes.
