Winning lottery tickets bought in Giyani, Mahwelereng

Every week people across the province buy their tickets for the national lottery in the hope of striking it lucky.

LIMPOPO – This week was for sure the lucky week for two players in Limpopo, with their tickets bought at Mahwelereng and Giyani respectively.

The winning amounts are R3 million and R10 million.

Both were quick pick tickets.

In Mahwelereng, the winning ticket was worth R3,002.799 and it was purchased at Engen Crossroads Service Station in Mahwelereng.

This lucky winner played a quick pick draw with his selection ticket wager amount being only R20.

Operational Manager at the Engen Crossroads Service Station, Matlhodi Marapjane, says: “This is the first time a winning lottery ticket has been purchased at our garage. It is an honour and privilege. This brings hope to the rest of the community and in this way we feel we are giving back. I am not sure if the winner has collected his ticket yet. Congratulations to you.”

The second winning lottery ticket worth R10, 294,820 was purchased at a Boxer store in Giyani. The lucky winner also played a quick pick draw with his selection ticket wager amount being only R20.

Lotto tickets are sold across the country at a variety of shop outlets and on Wednesdays and Saturdays the winning numbers are announced for the Lotto, Lotto Plus and Lotto Plus 2.

The PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draws are done on Tuesdays and Fridays and winners of the Pick 3 competition are announced every day.
