Cable theft leaves part of Polokwane, surrounding plots and farms without electricity

Eskom technicians are currently working on restoring power supply to parts of the city and surrounding areas following cable theft at the Singloed and Zundput substations last night.

POLOKWANE –  The affected substation feed most of the farming customers within Polokwane as well as customers within the Polokwane Municipality, said Eskom in a statement this morning.

“Repairs to the affected substation have commenced and feeder substations have been switched off. The repairs are expected to be completed late this evening.”

Eskom would like to alert customers who are fed from the affected substations to treat all electrical installations as live during this period.
