[TAKE NOTE] Municipal offices and rates hall to close from 18 April to 23 April

All emergency and essential services such as fire and rescue, water and sanitation, electricity and traffic management will be available to the public at all times.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says that all municipal offices, including the rates hall, will close on Thursday, 18 April 2019 at 12h00.

In a statement released, municipal spokesperson, Thipa Selela says this is to allow municipal officials to prepare for long journeys that they will be undertaking for various Easter activities.

“All emergency and essential services such as fire and rescue, water and sanitation, electricity and traffic management will be available to the public at all times. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, 23 April 2019,” he added.

The Municipal Call Center can be reached on the following numbers:
• Electrical Services: 015 290 2490 / 2705
• Fire and Rescue: 015 290 2403 / 2480
• Waste Management: 015 290 2366 / 2367

Payments for municipal services can be done at the following outlets:
• Pick n Pay
• Shoprite/Checkers
• Woolworths
• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Prepaid water and electricity can be purchased at:
• Vending machines outside the Civic Centre
• Cellphone purchases
• Savannah Mall
• Spar shops
• 7/11 shop on Marshall street

For assistance with one’s water smart meter, residents can call 087 350 2770; standby on conventional meters at 083 301 3738/083 673 3238 while standby on prepaid for Seshego can be reached at 081 716 1343.
