Business robbery suspects flee from vehicle in Church Street, manhunt launched

Police in Polokwane have launched a manhunt for two suspects who committed a business robbery at an events company in Tweefontein

POLOKWANE – Police in Polokwane are urging anyone with information of the whereabouts of two business robbery suspects to contact the nearest police station, following a robbery on Friday night, 19 April.

The victim, according to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, was allegedly accosted by two unknown males who threatened him and tied him up before loading three television sets, two wine fridges. an ice maker and a gas stove into the owner’s Audi A4 and fled from the scene.

“A Sergeant and a Constable on patrol in the Tweefontein area received the message of the business robbery and gave chase when they noticed the said Audi. The suspects lost control of the vehicle along Church street, abandoned it and fled into the darkness,” Mojapelo explained. 

The vehicle, he says, was recovered together with the stolen items.
