POLOKWANE – In a statement released the Polokwane Municipality notifies the public of planned street closures in the central business district (CBD). This is due to the Youth Day celebrations at the Polokwane Cricket Club where President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the youth, explained the municipality in the statement.
According the statement the following affected streets will be closed from early hours of Sunday morning, 16 June 2019 for the duration of the event:
• Voortrekker Street between Suid Street and Silicon Road; and
• Magazyn Street between Suid Street and new Peter Mokaba traffic circle.
“Other streets will be closed as and when necessary,” they add.
The municipality urges motorists and other road users to use alternative routes and to adhere to the traffic instructions given by the law enforcement officers.
