MOKOPANE – The Police are looking for a group of unknown suspects involved in a business robbery incident which occurred on Wednesday at one of the jewellery stores which is located near a mall in the central business district.
In a statement released, Police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe said it is alleged the store employees were busy with stock taking when the robbery occurred.
“It is alleged that the employees were busy with stock taking when a group of unknown suspects entered the store, pretending to look at the jewellery behind the glass display. Shortly afterwards another group, armed with firearms, entered the store and ordered the employees to open the safe at gunpoint.” Ngoepe explained.
The susepcts fled the scene with jewellery and undisclosed amount of money, he added.
The suspects in this matter are still unknown and there is no arrests as yet. The police are calling upon the persons on the photos attached, to come to Mokopane Police Station or visit the nearest Police Station., as it is believed that they might be able to assist in this investigation, said Ngoepe.
A manhunt has been launched for the group of unknown suspects and the police urges anyone with information that can lead to their apprehension to contact Captain Daniel Moserwa at 0716728614 or at 0154091400.
