POLOKWANE – Two men were arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation unit on Friday, after attempting to bribe an officer attached to the Vehicle Crime Investigating unit in Seshego.
In a statement released, Spokesperson for the Hawks, Captain Matimba Maluleke said the two men, aged 32 and 37, allegedly approached the officer and promised a R2 000 bribe in return for the release of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
“This is the fourth incident in fewer than six months where our police officers displayed their loyalty by being incorruptible,” says Maluleke.
