‘Stadium’ builder dreams of owning gallery one day
Soon, you won't have to travel to Durban to see the Moses Mabhida Stadium. This is because Dzulani Trevor Sidogi is building a replica of the stadium at his home at Tshipako village outside Thohoyandou.
LIMPOPO – The 30-year-old said building this majestic stadium is his way of using his God-given talent.
“I first built the stadium in 2008 to welcome the 2010 Fifa World Cup visitors. I realised I needed to build it again, this time using cement and wires instead of cardboxes.”
He said the project would be finished this month.

Dzulani is currently looking for sponsorships as he dreams of establishing his own art gallery, “the gallery will also create employment”.
He also builds doll houses for which he uses wood, cardbox and glass.
“Art is my passion. I started art because I love it. When I was still at school, I used to draw pictures of animals and people during class,” he said.
He was inspired by an artist by the name of Noria Mabasa.
“She once told me that I must work hard while the time is still right for me,” he said.
He advises young people to use their talent: “Never doubt yourself. Everything is possible in life, but you must work hard”.
