POLOKWANE – The municipality says they will not be closing reservoir outlets at night this week to allow the measuring of nightly peak and average flows to determine any losses.
Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says it is important for the appointed professional company to collect data for at least five uninterrupted flows for accuracy.
“The Aurecon Group will also be using some of the time and data for the network hydraulic remodelling. This operation is likely to have undesired outcomes for high lying areas, however, the water section will be monitoring the supply and attending to affected areas with water tankers,” he said.
The Dalmada WTW will also remain open for residents wishing to collect water at their convenience.
