Megan wants to inspire young models to never give up

In her time under the agency, Megan says her mentor, Jacqueline Ferns, has empowered her as a young woman and a model. "Jaqueline has taught me life skills, groomed me and has helped boost my self-confidence."

POLOKWANE – Megan De Klerk says modelling has taught her to believe in herself and to never back down from anything life has to offer.

Originally from Brazil but raised in South Africa, Megan says she loves SA but will never let go of her roots. The Gr 9 learner at Jabez Christian Academy is also an aspiring model and is registered under Ace Models Limpopo that works in partnership with Ice Models, a leading Agency in South Africa.

In her time under the agency, Megan says her mentor, Jacqueline Ferns, has empowered her as a young woman and a model. “Jaqueline has taught me life skills, groomed me and has helped boost my self-confidence.”

She explains that she never had the guts to model in front of a crowd, and Jacqueline coached her and gave her the tools to show the world what she is capable of.  She recently won the title of 2nd princess in Mr and Miss Sekel Bos which was held at General Piet Joubert Special School in August.

“I will continue to enter modelling competitions, as I want to inspire and encourage other young models that queens never give up or back down,” she advises.

Jabez Christian Academy school principal, Elana Erasmus says she’s proud of Megan’s hard work, both in modelling and academics.
