Limpopo police search for father of murdered boy (6)

The police call on the boy's 33-year-old father to help with the murder investigation.

POLOKWANE – The police call on 33-year-old Norman Semenya to come to the police station to assist in the investigation of his six-year-old son’s murder. The child was killed during an domestic violence related incident at Ga-Ramoshoane village in Matlala precinct outside Seshego on Sunday, 8 December.

Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo says it is alleged the victim was killed following a telephonic conversation, reportedly about infidelity, between his parents. The victim was killed with a sharp object. The mother was in Pretoria at the time of the incident.

Relatives found the body of the child in a bedroom and immediately summoned the police. Initial investigations led to the discovery of a suicide note.

The deceased has been identified as Mohau Evidence Choshi (6).

The motive behind the incident is not known but domestic violence cannot be ruled out. A case of murder is being investigated.

Th police urge anyone with information about Semenya’s whereabouts to contact the Matlala Detective Commander Captain, Molatelo Seth Machaba at 082 414 3314. Alternatively they can contact the 24-hour Crime Stop number at 086 001 0111 or their nearest police station.
