Two arrested for robbery at Limpopo bush camp
It is alleged one of the accused is a former employee
LIMPOPO – The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Genl Nneke Ledwaba has commended the police for the swift arrest of those involved in a break-in and robbery at a bushcamp in the Hoedspruit policing area.
The duo broke into the camp on Monday, 13 January and then loaded several items into a vehicle which was on the premises and fled the scene, said Police Spokesperson, Brig Motlafela Mojapelo.
The police were notified and the duo were arrested on Tuesday, 14 January at around 22:00 after they were spotted driving the stolen vehicle. It is alleged one of the accused is a former employee at the camp.
Motlafela added that further investigations led the police to a house in Bismarck village, Sekororo which belongs to one the accused, where the stolen items were recovered.
The duo will appear in the Hoedspruit Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of house breaking and theft of a motor vehicle.
