Limpopo: Farm murder accused on the run

Tshepo Justice Rasodi, arrested for the murder of Hendrick Peter Peterson (57), failed to reappear in court

LIMPOPO – The 27-year-old Tshepo Justice Rasodi failed to appear before the Lephalale Regional Court on 29 January after he was granted R1 000 bail.

A warrant of arrest has since been issued and a manhunt was launched by the police in Lephalale.

Rasodi and three accomplices were arrested for the murder of Hendrick Peter Peterson (57) on the Fourieskloof farm outside Lephalale on 6 February 2017, following intensive police investigations.

Earlier reports stated that Peterson was hit over the head with a heavy object before the suspects fled in the deceased’s vehicle, a white Isuzu bakkie with registration BYZ 077 L.

A point 22 rifle, a 303 rifle and two cellphones were also taken during the assault.

His son-in-law discovered him in the house the next morning and rushed him to hospital where he was certified dead on arrival.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
