Two suspects, aged 28 and 34 years, were expected to appear in the Phalala Magistrate’s Court on Monday in connection with the possession of a high quantity of dagga after they were arrested at Villa Nora outside Lepahalale on Friday.
Provincial Police Communications Head Motlafela Mojapelo indicated that officers on patrol noticed two suspicious looking suspects carrying two bags being dropped off by a vehicle along the R518.
The suspects were stopped and the bags searched resulting in Police discovering 3 455 grams of dagga. The suspects were arrested on the spot and will face charges of possession of and dealing in dagga, according to Mojapelo.
