Strict regulations, but you can now adopt an animal
Various animals are waiting for their forever homes at Percy Fyfe Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
MOKOPANE – Meg Wilson, Spokesperson for the National Council of SPCA’s, said that they have sent their request to the Covid-19 Nerve Centre Committee on behalf of all SPCA’s and animal welfare organisations to get the necessary permission to allow adoptions to re-open under the current level four restrictions.
The Percy Fyfe Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) committee members would like to invite possible new owners to schedule an appointment for a meet-and-greet with their specific pets.
Residents are assured that the safety measures will be followed.
While social distancing is encouraged, sanitisers will be available and no person will be allowed without a mask. Visitors must bring along proof of residence as well as a copy of their ID in order to complete the application form. A home check will still be conducted after the meet-and-greet to complete the application.
