Biker dies on N1 north of Polokwane

POLOKWANE – The Department of Transport has confirmed that a motorcyclist was killed in a collision on the N1-28 North of Polokwane earlier today.

The incident between a motorcycle and a Toyota LDV happened at around 06:10 nearly five kilometres outside the city.

Spokesperson for the department, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala said it is suspected that a U-turn led to the collision.

A 30-year-old man died on the scene.

The exact cause of the incident will form part of a police investigation.
