Polokwane tallies bulk of Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases and deaths

The city is now the epicentre of Limpopo, surpassing Fetakgomo Tubatse and recorded two new deaths

LIMPOPO – According to the Department of Health, the province recorded 47 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total cases to 1 193. Polokwane leads the Covid-19 rankings with 232 cases and six deaths.

Of the 47 new cases 17 were reported in Polokwane, nine in Thulamela, four in Elias Motsoaledi, four in Lephalale, two in Lepelle Nkumpi, two in Mogalakwena and one each in Molemole, Ba-Phlaborwa, Giyani, Letaba, Fetekgomo Tubatse, Collins Chabane, Makhado, Musina and Thabazimbi, respectively.

The department confirmed that 579 people have recovered, with 605 active cases and 12 deaths.
