Lim records 31 deaths as cases increase to 1 802

Of the 1 802 positive Covid-19 cases, 665 people have recovered.

LIMPOPO – The Department of Health confirmed four more deaths in the province on Tuesday, 7 July.

Of the four new deaths, two were reported in the Polokwane Municipal area and the other two in Thulamela.

A total of 82 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Capricorn district recorded 36 new cases, of which 32 were recorded in Polokwane and two in Lepelle Nkumpi.

Waterberg district had the second most cases, with 17 recorded in Thabazimbi, four in Lephalale, two in Mogalakwena and one in Bela-Bela.

Sekhukhune reported 13 new cases, eight in Elias Motsoaledi Municipality, four in Fetakgomo Tubatse and one in Makhuduthmaga.

Vhembe saw an increase of eight new cases, four in Makhado, two in Collins Chabane and one each in Musina and Thulamela. One case was reported in the Maruleng Municipal area in the Mopani district.

The province now has 31 deaths and 1 106 active cases.
