“The reservoirs have reached critical levels due to a drop in Ebenezer Dam’s level. Today, the Potgieter reservoir sits at 3%, 30Ml Flat (Krugersburg) at 0%, 30Ml Dome (Krugersburg) at 4% while the 50 Ml (Krugersburg) is at 12%. These levels require all of us to save water as much as possible,” Selala explained.

He cautioned domestic consumers to restrict water usage to household use only, to avoid wastage.

“All water consumers are further urged to embrace the value of this scarce resource and make water conservation a way of life. Polokwane Municipality urges all to report water related challenges, such as leaks and wastage, to the Municipal Water and Sanitation Call Centre at 015 023 5376 / 5629,” he concluded.
