Local businesswoman nominated as SA Heroine

Well-known Limpopo businesswoman, Palesa Khambule was nominated among the top 100 women who bring change to their communities.

LIMPOPO – Caring for and loving your neighbour is something we all should do in making our country a better place for all.

These are the words of a well-known Limpopo businesswoman, Palesa Khambule who was recently nominated for the South African Heroines Awards.

Khambule said she felt blessed and privileged to be nominated among the top 100 women who are bringing change to their respective communities.

“I feel so honoured to be part of the women who are doing good and bringing change. Making South Africa a better place. The competition is going to be tough, even if I don’t win, being nominated from 100 to 50 means a lot and I’m so honored and grateful. To me, I’m already a winner by merely being nominated among this cream de la cream,” said Palesa who is also a civil engineer and mine contractor.

Palesa is also the Deputy President of the Soweto Business Forum (SBF), and she explained that under her leadership they managed to do various projects which helped provide jobs in the townships and respective communities and changed the mindset of entrepreneurs that business is not only about getting tenders from government but creating jobs through this sectors.

Under her leadership she also managed to get 1 000 people to enroll for business management certificates at the University of Johannesburg.
